Servicing & Maintenance

'ALL OF THE BOATS WE HAVE OWNED HAVE BEEN PERFECTLY MAINTAINED AND WE HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THE FRIENDLY SERVICE PROVIDED BY PLEISURE MARINE'

AUTHORISED SERVICE DEALERS

Pleisure Marine are service dealers for MAN, Kohler, Yanmar, John Deere and SeaKeeper, which enables them to carry out diagnostic repairs with special electronic equipment and complete any warranty repairs or campaigns required. They also have a full range of specialist tooling to service and overhaul Volvo Penta engine and drive train components as well as hold extensive experience service and maintaining several Cummins, CAT and MTU engines.

MORE THAN LOG BOOK MECHANICS

Damon and the team pride themselves on always looking beyond the task at hand and being more than ‘log book mechanics’. Often when attending a vessel, which may have the perfect service history, there are many additional components that have never been serviced or replaced. They do not see a service as just an oil and filter change. We believe that continuous monitoring of diesel engine performance is critical for early detection of fault developments in an engine to prevent a functional failure.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Whilst carrying out a service they will check over other engine components such as the cooling system, the condition of the turbo charger, any belts that may require replacing and any hoses that may be perished. Seawater strainers are cleaned, alternator are checked and generators are run at full load. If a Technician finds something that requires immediate attention, the Owner or  Boatman is notified immediately with a thorough explanation, timeframe of repairs and indicative pricing. For any items that are found that require repairing or replacing in the near future, as part of preventative maintenance and that can be carried out at a later date without it being detrimental, photographs will be provided and all findings noted on the closing job card.  We strongly advise customer to maintain a regular servicing schedule during the winter months. This gives ample time to inspect, repair or replace any necessary components prior to the summer peak season allowing a prompt and efficient turnaround.
